Trees on the Glacial Erratic Mound
A very grey, breezy, and still very mild, day. Drizzle at times, including just as I set out for a wee daunder around the park. The good thing is that the drizzle doesn't last long. As I walk through the various wooded area, the trees are creaking in an alarming manor. Photo shows the large sycamore trees that top what remains of the glacial erratic mound. The erratic boulder was quarried in the late 19th century. The trees are quite large, and dominate the birch wood.
After lunch, partner and I go for a walk down to Braidburn Valley Park. We take this route as is sheltered from the strengthening wind by the steep slopes of the park. On the way home, we can see the rain slowly moving in as the Pentland Hills disappear. We get home just at the right time.
