Father and son

Our family numbers are gradually dwindling - Jen and Jason left yesterday after breakfast, and today Laura and Liam left us. It was a dull day but very mild, and after lunch Roger Philip and I got out for some exercise at Shawnee Lookout. When we got back, the Cincinnati Bengals football game was on, and we ended up watching that. It was a must win game for the Bengals, if they were to have any chance of proceeding to the playoffs, and even with a win it’s rather unlikely. They had started the season very badly, losing the first three games, and didn’t improve a huge amount after that, until the last four games. It was an exciting game, which went into overtime, and the Bengals won in the closing minutes! Afterwards, we went out to eat again, as Philip wanted to have some Skyline chili, something of a Cincinnati staple, while he was home, and we have one very near to us.
