Good bye 2024

A quiet day on which to end 2024.  It started by losing a cat - how could you lose a fluffy grey and white cat in a closed apartment with minimal hiding places.  Turned out he'd squeezed behind the washing machine where he spent most of the day.

I did some end of year admin, had a swim, then breakfast then up the street to book my massage and buy some necessities from Daiso and Village Grocer.  Came home to sort a budget issue that I only accidentally discovered and then went for a swim, which lasted about 1 minute as it started raining.

Nala was still behind the washing machine so I sat and started sorting through the pictures on my laptop.  This will take ages, but I have time.  Nala re-emerged and I put up defences.

Went to HK via Jaya and then we eventually had carry out dinner along with HIGNY24 and University Challenge, Christmas editions.  There will be no fireworks in Edinburgh tonight - the street party has been cancelled, due to the weather forecast.

Eventually after more tv and a couple of beers and the Auckland and Sydney fireworks (twice) we came home here for the local version.  The Twin Towers, the KL Tower and Merdeka 163 were all lit up an impressive sight.
