Plastic Waves At Archbishop's Palace, Maidstone

The sun actually appeared today - it was so nice to see the sky blue again instead of a dark slate grey so we decided to pop out for a quick drink. We intended to go to the Black Horse at Thurnham but when we arrived the car park was completely full so we had to make other plans. Then we remembered The Plough at Langley and luckily this time the car park wasn't full. We were welcomed warmly (always a good sign) so settled down for our pints and a chinwag.
On the way back home we stopped off by the river in Maidstone to see if we could get a shot or two. We walked as far as the Archbishop's Palace and that's where I took today's image. It has an enormous raised flowebed in the grounds but for some reason this was covered in weighted plastic sheets that, when seen from this low viewpoint, looked like waves.
The Palace itself is a Grade I listed 14th and 16th Century building that was originally a home form home for travelling archbishops from Canterbury.
