Out & About
With the Epic Club Row cancelled, no water, on my return Mrs S and I decided to head off for a walk.
We headed off to Trelissick, the National Trust garden set on its own peninsula, with panoramic views over the Fal estuary. With the garden closed to Paddy we set off on the woodland walks across open parkland with views down the estuary to Falmouth and followed the path along the wooded areas on both sides of the road. Eight miles for me, Paddy, off the lead, probably did half as much again.
Storm damage was evident everywhere and with the New Year forecast I’d expect to see more next time.
After rolling in mud and whatever else it was home to shower Paddy and cook dinner, roast gammon with some Christmas garnishes secreted away in the freezer. Thoroughly enjoyable end to the day, helping Mrs S do some damage to the remaining Christmas chocolate stash, watching TV and enjoying each others company.
