A walk in the village
Thank you so much for the very kind comments and all the hearts for my blip anniversary yesterday, it was very kind of everyone to be so generous - especially those who came back with hearts when they had refreshed. I enjoyed reading all the comments very much.
I woke up this morning feeling very refreshed and not at all stiff from my skiing yesterday, which surprised me as it was rather an active day. Gavin went up the mountain first thing this morning by himself - Luke has been battling a bad cold over the past few days and was feeling quite poorly last night so he decided to sleep in and not go skiing with him.
After breakfast and morning coffees at home, Luke said he was going to go ski as he did not want to waste the opportunity and was feeling a bit better. Adam, Anna and I walked Xena into the village where we had coffees, and then I walked Xena along the river. Where the valley path is in the sunshine it is a very enjoyable place to walk, but due to being surrounded by high mountains most of the valley is in deep shade and the moment you walk from the sunshine into the shade you can feel the temperature drop. I think it was a high of about 3C today. Here you can see walkers, dog walkers and langlaufers (Nordic skiers) enjoying the sunshine.
In extras is a photo of Adam and Anna I took when walking through the village.
I popped into the supermarket to get a few things - funny how Switzerland is known for its chocolate and is the home of Lindt chocolate, but I would never buy Lindt chocolate here as it is more than twice the price that it is back home in the UK.
We also popped into the ski shop to get something and the owner, who we know quite well, already knew that Tommy was not here but in Australia this year. His friends had already mentioned it.
Tonight at Anna's request there is a cheese fondue for supper. I am eating something else as I cannot eat it.
