Everyday Life

Hartsholme/Swanholme

Once again it was a crystal bright morning. After we had eaten breakfast we decided to go out to Hartsholme and Swanholme park and lakes for a good walk and to take photos. I'm glad we did - the clouds are now moving in and the wind is starting to pick up.

As tomorrow will be the last day of the year I have included a few extras - may as well use them up! There is some False Turkey Tail fungi of the delightfully name hairy curtain-crust variety. It has a gorgeous golden colour despite its unpleasant name. There's a cute, rather friendly squirrel and a view of another of the lakes too.

Home now for lunch, including Christmas pudding with a spoonful of brandy I found in the cellar stirred into the bought custard. Delicious!
