Sue Hiller
It’s been a couple of days of reconnecting with old sporting contacts this week and this morning I was delighted to bump into Sue Hiller, a true legend of the game of squash in Western Australia. Sue was at the squash courts putting some up and coming young women through their paces. Sue was inducted into the Western Australian Squash Hall of Fame in 2021. It was an amazing feat to win the WA Open title at the age of 54 and she holds the record for the number of state titles won by a woman in WA. Significantly, she has many World. Masters Titles to her name as well. Honestly, I don’t think I would have lasted 5 minutes on the court the way they were all playing this morning. It was great to watch though and I was happy when Sue said she would come back onto the court to have our photo taken together.
