Sunday Rest for my 43rd

I feel so behind with Blip, my apologies, I am recovering from tonsillitis.

Had (not homemade) cheese scones for breakfast with my coffee, delicious!

I saw my GP on Friday afternoon. She is a brilliant doctor, I feel very fortunate to have her.

We have agreed on a treatment plan for all of my chronic health conditions going forward.

I have been having, as many of you will know, a lot of chest, throat inflammation and viral infections. Unfortunately, I am susceptible to all of these as well as tonsillitis.

I am feeling much better with the tonsillitis but not so much with my fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility, I am resting up after a long weekend celebrating my birthday.

I went out on Friday (some photos in extras plus steps from Friday and Saturday) and met many of my friends, some I hadn’t saw for a long time.

I am really looking forward to 2025 because I have a lot of challenges ahead of me and I feel excited for the future for the first time in a very long time.

My boiler will hopefully be repaired soon. I’ve hit peak exhaustion so Saturday and Sunday I have listened to my body and rested at home to recover from Friday and quite frankly, the past three plus months. Drained. Paying for dancing on Friday but it was worth it!

Aiming to get back to the gym once the tonsillitis has fully shifted. My fibromyalgia is in full flare but I will get there. I am a very determined person and I rest but don’t quit.

I had originally planned to have lunch with one of my best friends, Rosie, a fellow spoonie. However, given we’re both struggling right now, I have rescheduled lunch.

We will enjoy it better when we are (hopefully) less pained. She lives in a nearby town. We are long overdue the lunch!

I have had loads of lovely texts, messages and calls from friends today, feeling very grateful for them today as I do every day :)

Thanks to everyone on Blip who has donated to my paced walking fundraiser (my birthday month challenge) in memory of my two uncles who both passed away in 2001-2002 due to alcohol related causes.
