Friday
Thank the Lord for each day that we wake and enjoy every moment amongst his creations.
I am very fortunate to still be here after my accident earlier in the year, it’s taught me to never take anything for granted but to appreciate everything that comes my way. Sometimes happiness sometimes sadness, without both neither would be meaningful.
Today was mild and misty again, it slowed some of the motorists but most definitely not all!
I was able to enjoy some quiet time and observe, hear and smell the wonders of where I am living at the moment. No time restraints allowing Dippy’ and I to wander around the countryside with every sense awakened. The sunflowers are used as cover for pheasants together with the Miscanthus giganticus.
A large willow tree had fallen across the woodland path, my new folding “bush saw” came into its own and although it was a bit of a struggle Dippy and I managed to shift it out of the way:)
Breakfast before shower and then heading to the post office to collect my post having had a notification of an important delivery.
On arrival I was greeted by a good friend and fellow cyclist and his son who informed me that a barrier preventing cyclists using the recently opened cycle pathway through the old dairy had been installed.
After some discussion and my post collection I met up with them at the barrier to see what could be done. Apparently the access to the site would normally be open for public access between 9 and 5 and then locked.
Photos of the barrier were taken to be discussed when the site reopens next year!!
We mulled the situation over a pot of tea and a bowl of chips at the Puffing Billy before Dippy and I jogged and walked to Watergate and back along the old railway line.
Back to base for my third and final turkey dinner and afters of mince pie(s).
Zzzzzzz
