'A Village Fair'
This year's Christmas jigsaw came from friends in Montrose with whom we stayed overnight back in the summer on the way home from our Scottish holiday. One of them had got it from his father, who had won it in a raffle at a local club, the pieces packed in a biscuit tin with a small version of the picture cut out and pasted on the top! We all had a go at it on the evening we spent with them, but we didn't give the whole evening over to it, and we didn't finish it before we left.
Imagine our surprise when we unwrapped it here: it came with a note from our friends saying it had defeated them, and wishing us the best of luck in our own endeavours! We started it on Boxing Day morning, worked at it off and on, and finally finished it around 6pm this evening. Unfortunately, as you can see, there is one piece missing - but given its history, we should be glad there weren't any more.
