Lunchtime Bliss

Ziggy curled up on the sofa between M and me in his ‘stroke me’ pose. We had to oblige of course. Ziggy has been somewhat distracted today as we’re cooking up a pot of stock with the remains of our Christmas Day roast duck. I think the aromas are making him extra hungry.

We visited town this morning to peruse the sales. Less bargains this year. Many items were offered at 30% off instead of 50% as in previous years. There was a report on the news that said that high street footfall was less this year. It was quiet in town first thing but apparently was much busier later on.

I hope our local shops do well while the Christmas visitors are here.
