The Corgi engineer came along today to work on the boiler and wrote it off, which is nice. Not really. Pump, blah blah, leak, blah, main PCB, blah, flush the system, blah, not worth fixing compared with the cost of a new boiler and how long have you had it, time for a new one really. Cheers mate.

So that's the exhaust on Christmas eve, the boiler on Christmas Day. Still time for a Boxing Day disaster.

Looking through some old photos I came across a little wallet with this and some others. It says 1968 on the wallet's spine, which makes me - the little cutie at the front in the mad jumper - five years old. The rest are Auntie Helen over from Canada, my nana, Auntie Audrey, Uncle Robert, cousin Anne and the dog. We're in Wales (because that's definitely not my parents' house). I have another photo of my parents' house, with me proudly showing my new Timex watch that Helen had brought for Christmas. I'm assuming it's the same year because I look the same, which means Helen came from Canada to Glasgow and then me, Helen and nana travelled to Wales. Weirdly, I have no recollection of this at all
