Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Boxing Day

We had a luxuriously leisurely start to the day today all emerging at different times then reptreating back to bed with our various morning beverages. I'd slept well thank goodness and felt particularly languid.
We'd done a thorough job of tidying yesterday, so all was calm.
Kathryn and the girls came up for turkey sandwiches at around 1pm. Jon was working today, still, they were grateful he was off yesterday at least. They'd left the car here last night, so we loaded it up with their Christmas presents ready for them to explore again at home .
Eilidh was very keen that we played a game of her new Trivial Pursuit game which had adult and children's sets of questions. Appropriately, as it was her game, she won.
This lovely little nativity set was one of my gifts yesterday, the letters are just over an inch high. I'll enjoy setting it out each year.
We're settling down for a quiet evening in, this post Christmas period is very relaxing.
Having said that I'm out tomorrow, firstly to open up the rectory for the chimney sweep and secondly to take communion to one of our more frail church members. Between the two tasks, most of the afternoon will disappear.
