Boxing Day Dip

A new experience for me today. Of course have seen it in the press and social media over the years but it’s quite different to be there in person.

When I say be there, I don’t mean actually in the water with them, just enjoying watching what goes on!

This was between 11 and 12 this morning. I went with Gill, a pre-arranged tick of her wish list really. But of course it’s good for a blip.

The light was quite different in different parts of the beach, see extras - either side of the pier. My main blip shows the mist in the distance towards Marske and Redcar.

Several groups and quite a few individuals seemed to be ‘dipping’ along with paddle boarding, surfing etc.

Saltburn Foodbank and The HeadLight Project (suicide prevention) were the two main ones here I believe. Along the coast others were represented.

A tidy up afternoon once Greg had gone home. A quiet night in front of the telly I think.
