Moody beach

Today was one of the rare days when I regretted not taking my camera to the beach. After we had finished swimming, and whilst we were enjoying a wee snack and drink courtesy of J and F, who live right by the beach, there was fine light over in the southerly distance.

Swimming was the highlight of the day, which has otherwise been very quiet. I concocted something to eat this evening out of the remains of the chilli I made on Sunday (a pasta bake with some random mozzarella and cherry tomatoes I found in the fridge, plus some basil leaves from a live plant, and some parmesan). It was tasty. We also finished the Christmas pudding from yesterday. I've done a bit of life admin of the "sponsoring people" type and hunkered down on the sofa with a hot water bottle. Unfortunately, I haven't felt much like reading....I have a couple of books to finish before the end of the year.

While our day was not terribly sociable, we issued one invitation to dinner and received another, so that's two of our remaining nights up here taken care of. Luckily we still have another 10 days to go.
