A day in the life

Nothing particular was on the agenda today. Good.
The weather has been very mild and sunny with a little clouds. I had a walk along a beautiful nature reserve, partly an old seashore sandbank from when the sea was much higher, while my island was still rising slowly after the weight of the last ice-age. Farming here has an ancient history, you find traces from settlements, burial mounds and stone walls for keeping the animals inside the area.

These particular ones are a bit younger though, but still very impressive, they are extremely well built, 160 cm high and very straight. They cover quite a large area. The paths in the area sometimes cross wetlands and these planks come in handy. They were very slippery though, so I walked on the side of them. Six km in a lovely surrounding of old cultural landscape made it a good day for my understimulated body.
