I think the birds come
in to have a look at me -
it's the pajamas!
It was coffee and panettone for breakfast before 8. I pulled on my hoodie over my pajamas to go backyard birding. I appreciate my private backyard. The birds come in and out giving me the side-eye. My turquoise pajamas with the large, bright pink roses are very alluring.
It's a wee chilly with 12 C/ 54 F outside so, thankfully, I didn't have to wait long for the birds to arrive. It should warm up for the afternoon, but by then I want to be involved with paint.
The mourning dove landed on the neighbours light pole. It stayed a long time. Finches and sparrows darted in and out of my orange tree. The oranges that remain on the tree are far out of reach for me. My last welcome guest was my favourite, the mocking bird. He peeked at me from the far side of my tree, then flew over to the neighbour's satellite dish.
It's back to the paint for me and another lazy day at home.
