Lights of home

I spent an enjoyable morning in the kitchen preparing Christmas dinner while Nick and Bertie went for a walk. The turkey (crown) was one of the tastiest we have had over the years and the trifle was one of the slurpiest, although I think I should have been more generous with the sherry! After a short time of relaxation, I took Bertie for a wander in the woods as dusk fell.  All was peaceful and quiet and nothing seemed to stir as we headed back to the comfort of home.
