Monet at the Gardens

Tuesday 24/12

Christmas Eve - a much needed relaxing day! G’s decided to take the Bridge classes available onboard, but I haven’t limited interest and besides, I have my journal to catch up on plus photos to edit!

There’s a fabulous tuna buffet for lunch on the pool deck - sashimi, sushi and seared - the huge fish on display amid its bed of ice.

It’s  a formal night - and I’m relieved that my black dress still fits! There’s carol singing and the traditional meet the captain cocktail event, followed by a meal in the intimate jazz venue, Silver Note where we listen to an excellent pianist and vocalist.

A delightful Christmas Eve ends with us listening to Carols from Kings - some traditions have to be adhered to!

I’m cheating a bit here, and posting a shot from yesterday - I keep recycling extras, but I’ve run out again.  Here’s two views from the Monet exhibition.
