Stocking Surprises
Sweetest moment of a long day, called in to watch Eden opening her first ever stocking. She was so lovely, loving the simple gifts, and sharing her chocolate coins with everyone.
Then up to church, to help my son-in-law prepare a full Christmas dinner for 67 people who would otherwise have been on their own, including those who live on the street. The whole team were amazing: lifts for those who needed them, the decorations, gifts and (British) crackers for everyone, live music, handwritten and painted place names, the King's speech, games - all done with so much love and enthusiasm.
Thankfully, I was allowed to go home early and got in a much needed nap before walking to my daughter's in-laws' house for an amazing buffet, provided by their other son, Zac.
Gratefuls:
- getting home early to my electric blanket and my feet thawing out
- my sister in Florida calling unexpectedly and chatting to her and family
- our so generous church family
