Gloaming

The day dawned grey and damp but there was a hint of brightness in the sky. After breakfast and exchanging a few gifts between the two of us, and messages with friends and family, we walked at Emsworth. The sea was out and the exposed mud was busy with feeding Brent geese, ducks and wading birds. There was a smattering of other walkers including bird watchers and photographers loaded up with their binoculars and cameras, and all cheery and exchanging good wishes for the day.

Our afternoon has been very relaxed and included a dog walk to rouse us after our lunch - cooked by Andy. The meadow was quiet and still, with the oak trees looming large in the fading light. How pleasant it was to walk back through the village in relative peace, the roads free from traffic.

The day has been rounded off watching the latest Wallace and Gromit film ‘Vengeance Most Fowl’!

Hoping your day has gone just as you wished.
