Surprise Books

It's been rather too hectic today to think much about a blip. As you might imagine the boys have been very excited. Joe's favourite present - a Despicable Me Fart Blaster, actually picked up by SIL#1 in a charity shop. It has potential I think as a smoke ring generator for creative photography. They both had loads of stuff though, Rory in particular has some great reference books and detective stories which he loves.

I had some books too. We haven't done much anything in the way of surprises this year, so it was nice to get these from daughter#1.  I'm especially interested in Nick Drake as he was a Fitzbilly student, at least for a while before his sad untimely death. I'm making a New Year's resolution to sit down and listen properly to his three albums.

Daughter#2 bought me some of my favourite chocolate bars, Nougattis. They won't last as long as the books.
