Frühschoppen

The Christmas Eve dinner last night was excellent. Christkind brought us some nice unexpected presents before dessert was served. Various alcoholic drinks were consumed. Some photos were taken with phones but I managed a group photo with my camera (extra). It turned out that B's father used to be a serious photographer so she had several tripods in her possession, and one was commandeered for the shot. 

This evening daughter#2 is doing a turkey dinner so her in-laws made themselves scarce by taking us for frühschoppen, a second breakfast for us in a brewery/bakery in Lorsch. I had three beers - a Christmas one, a local helles and a weissbier. We ate white sausage and pretzels which was nicer than we had feared expected.

Back to the hotel again now for a rest to prepare ourselves for this evening. After the meal I think we have a glühwein party outside around a fire to look forward to.

The hotel is fairly quiet, though I suppose there were 20 or so guests at breakfast.
