A Celebration of Christmas

TUESDAY - Christmas Eve 

I did a few last minute jobs around the house before heading up to Corpus Christi Church late afternoon where the community organisation held their annual "Celebration of Christmas"  in words and music followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

Then an hour's drive over to Manchester Airport T3 to collect a very tired Harriet and George who had flown from Heathrow on the last leg of their journey home from a month in New Zealand. The 40-hour trip went without hitch except for an hour on the tarmac at Heathrow this morning due to a world-wide software hitch on American Airlines. Fortunately they had a few hours between connecting flights.

It's now almost midnight and we are sat in darkness as the power has gone off in the village. I hope that it's restored by morning.
