Christmas Eve by the River

This Common Sandpiper was seen today at Maristow on the River Tavy. It was a mild, misty, still morning and very atmospheric. The extra shows the mist in the trees in an area of reclaimed land which is very marshy and sometimes becomes flooded in Winter.
