Shopping trip, Solstice and Christmas Markets
We were up pretty early and started our day with walking over the flea market in the kiez.
I got some cute vintage stackable bowls with lid and 2 wine glasses . I still have not found anything to replace the broken ones but we're getting closer.
We went home to off load and headed out again to Chapatti in Oranienstrasse to browse the outlet.
We were lucky and found something for Neil.
We had a coffee at the Visit then headed back to Galeria Kaufhof at Hermann Platz to do some biggish food shopping.
We carried it all home and had a little Solstice celebration with a spices hot chocolate in candle light on our couch.
It was lovely.
Then we got wrapped up again to go to the Christmas Market.
We chose to go to Sophien Strasse because it is local and not as commercialised as the others.
We had a Glühwein and a Bratwurst each and I got some tea and spices.
We then walked to the Christmas Market at Gendarmen Markt, which is a Bebel Platz at the moment and passed another one on the way.
The weather became ugly and we found refuge in the Feuerzangenbowle tent - with a guess what? Feuerzangenbowle.
Well - a good reminder that I will not need another one of those again.
We then had a stroll and ended uo with another nice Winzer Glühwein and our fave - a wood fired Sauer rahm bread. So delicious.
We walked to Unter den Linden and took the Ubahn home.
We were quite knackered when we got back ...... it was some active day.
Blipping Neil and Santa!
