Dressed for the occasion

We were all of to my husband’s nephew’s wedding today. Unfortunately the weather was wet and windy as we arrived in Bristol but the rain eased off soon afterwards. Our grandchildren were dressed in their wedding outfits and we headed to the reception. It was in the Registry Office in a very ornate room.

It was a very moving occasion and afterwards we walked to a nearby venue for some drinks afterwards. Fortunately for the children there was a nearby room with a very large Christmas tree in it where the photographer was taking some formal photographs. We had our photos taken and then then the children spent some time running around the room. There was a smaller tree here and we took a few photos of our own here.

Our next location was a small restaurant in Clifton where we all enjoyed a meal together. The wedding breakfast. Not only was it an enjoyable meal it was interesting to meet our nephew’s half brother and sister who were about 10 and 12 when we last saw them about 30 years ago.

A very enjoyable day and both grandchildren did very well especially since the oldest had not been that well the day before.
