The shortest day

The Gang of Four celebrated V’s significant birthday with coffee (not out of a flask) a walk from Stirling up to the Wallace Monument and back via Cambuskenneth. The company was terrific and the weather much better than the dire forecast. We finished with a very late lunch at the Portcullis near the castle.
