Happy Winter Solstice • Not much of a blip but I’ve been monitoring this hole for a few months now and haven’t spotted a bird coming, going or looking out! It seemed to suddenly appear in September and I’ve been curious about it ever since. A nuthatch? A chickadee? They prefer to use vacant woodpecker holes but are known to peck their own if desired. Any ideas? • A few snow flurries around otherwise it’s cold. We’re expecting below zero temperatures overnight and tomorrow. The forecasters are hinting 3” of snow Christmas Eve :) What a gift that would be! • Enjoy this last weekend before Christmas. Shopping? Reveling? Decking the Halls? Merry Making? • Ho-Ho-Ho!
