#5 on AV Club’s Top 25 Holiday Films is 2003’s Elf, an American Christmas comedy directed by Jon Favreau; written by David Berenbaum; starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Mary Steenburgen, Edward Asner and Bob Newhart. The soundtrack is the 2nd highest selling soundtrack for a Christmas themed film, with the first being The Polar Express • This is a favorite in our house! • Still without Internet but my phone signal is much stronger and I’m receiving emails and able to view APs! We’re not able to stream anything for TV viewing but we have lots of DVDs. Last night we watched Going My Way with Bing Crosby • Route 201 which runs north/south along the river was open to traffic today. We travelled to another grocery store to pick up a few things for the weekend and the parking lot was almost full! Our grocery store hopes to be back open this Saturday. Most businesses along the river were cleaning up today with many restaurants opening tomorrow. Hundreds of thousands are still without power and temperatures are dropping.
