I can't believe I haven't blipped any vines for over a month! What was I thinking? I admit I'd got a tad bored with them and was looking for other subjects. Plus I think they are at their least interesting in summer -- a mass of undifferentiated green.

Today I went out for a walk in the blazing heat of the afternoon, and for once remembered I had the polarising filter in my bag -- very useful in the bright glare of the sun. So I was taking photos at various rotations of the filter to see the effect. This was not exactly carefully composed -- just point and shoot -- but I think it conveys the brilliance of the colours in the afternoon sun.
