Winter Trees

We walked Merlin together this morning and this afternoon, meeting various folk to chat with on our way. The weather was bright and sunny but with a cold westerly wind.

One of our objectives for the day was to get some fabric off cuts with which to test out our new sewing machine. A local charity shop has an arts and crafts section and from there we purchased several small sections of fabric to use. We’re looking forward to using them and venturing onto more exciting sewing projects.

I also spent an hour or so at the allotment shifting a couple more barrows of wood chip for composting, and finishing off digging up the strawberries. For the most part I was the only person there. It feels nice to have the place to myself from time to time.

This was the sunset this afternoon as we returned from walking Merlin.
