Stoic Stan & The Sweeper Man, Maidstone

We thought it best to head into town today as both of us hadn't even started our Christmas shopping yet. By the time we arrived it was past midday so the obligatory pint had to come first before we set out on the arduous task of present buying. On the way to the main shopping centre, Fremlin Walk, I saw this stall holder (I'm sure he's not called Stoic Stan but I thought it somehow fitted the occasion and, of course, made for a rhyming title!) and sweeper man braving the cold and felt I just had to capture them in their almost matching outfits. I managed to buy a couple  of things to get me started and was cheered up by a busker singing, rather beautifully, one of my all time favourite songs, Lat Request by Paolo Nutini.
