Falling, Falling
I worked all day but have little to show for it. All my basement plants have been watered. My clothes closets are reorganized. My gift wrapping area is tidy. But, the tree isn’t decorated and there is still clutter here and there. Oh my! I spent quite awhile looking for a sizable gift card. Jamie is having his kitchen remodeled. All he wants for Christmas is money towards new appliances. I could not find the Lowe’s gift card or remember seeing it while we wrapped gifts. My sister wrapped Jamie’s package. The card was in his multi-item package. Mystery solved. Whew! My sister had hand surgery early this morning. She stopped by to visit on the way home. Our BIL was able to troubleshoot the problem with our fireplace. We took out the remote receiver and we can use it in manual mode. Temps will really be lower tomorrow so we may light it while we decorate the tree. Hubby put up the wreathes in our windows and set up the spotlights. I helped him in the living room and noticed some of my cacti are blooming. This is a happy color. We got pizza for lunch; no time to cook these days. Thankfully, we have restaurant gift cards. We are going to prayers for a friend tonight. It will seem strange not having her at our Knights’ Christmas party. She always hands out the numbers for the naughty Santa gift game. I ordered the food for my Christmas Eve party. The kids voted for lumpia, pansit, etc. The price almost doubled from what we paid in 2022. Yikes! But everyone will enjoy their meal. Wishing you an enjoyable evening. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “A flower blossoms for its own joy.” - Oscar Wilde
