Blue Skies and Balmy Temps
We had a very successful and enjoyable day. Hubby had an early cardiac appointment. He had “an episode” at the farm that he neglected to mention. The doc wants to do blood work to see if anything is out of kilter. But she thinks all is well. He picked me up and we filled up our gas tank. We were close to Staples; hubby checked the status of our Christmas letter. Hubby was confused about a note about pricing on our order. We usually pay around $110 for as many copies. Today, our bill was just over $30. We’ll take it. He dropped me off at the Commissary and proceeded to the pharmacy to pick up meds. I picked up the steak and ground beef that will be part of Skylar’s gift. All she wanted was a few gift cards. She and her boyfriend (who loves to cook) have very little income. This gift should give them something fun to do when she visits him. Hubby took me to the water’s edge for my blip. It was a day made for a beach blip. We stopped at Cracker Barrel to get a pie. Then we went to lunch using a $10 coupon that came in the mail to help pay for our burgers. I so enjoy spending free money. Hubby and I finished our Christmas cards and he mailed them. Late lunches mean no need for further meals. I will finish wrapping about six gifts. We have around 35 folks to shop for. The relief I feel when everything is bought and wrapped is incredible. We should be ready to start decorating tomorrow. Yippee! Wishing you a feeling of relief. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “That the sea is one of the most beautiful and magnificent sights in nature, all admit.” - John Joly
