On the moor

It was so dark this morning I couldn’t believe it was morning! However the weather improved so Chris and Ailie and I went for a walk up through the woods and along the moor. We headed into the wind though it would have been better to go across the bog as it was sheltered. But I was scared I had a slip finding my way across the high heather and muck so we stuck to the carriage drive. We did 5 miles.
Ailie stayed for some soup when we got back.

We had bad news from Mr C’s brother in law whose brother has terminal cancer and hasn’t even got 3 months. Such a blow for them. Therefore b-I-L was cancelling his 80th birthday party in February.

I tried on my ski boots. They make my corn hurt and it’s a struggle as to get them on. Since I first got them I have had an operation on an arthritic toe on one foot and lots of metal in the other leg from the broken ankle. By the time I get them on I’ll be too exhausted to trek to a ski lift, never mind ski. Apparently it’s going to be cloudy all week which is disappointing - but things can change.
