Productive Tuesday

A very long but productive day, lower pain, higher fatigue.

Treated myself to a fish supper for lunch after a busy morning on the phone and catching up with messages, texts, emails, life admin.

My apologies for being so behind with journals, very slowly working my way through them. Playing three weeks catch up since my chest infection, asthma and fibromyalgia flare ups.

I managed to get my diary sorted out. I currently have things in my diary up to early February. I like to try and make the best use of my time.

One of the most frustrating things about being a spoonie for me is that I can’t really plan in advance due to the unpredictability of my fibromyalgia and other chronic health issues but I like to plan ahead and feel better mentally for it. It’s in my DNA!

Continuing to monitor my own blood pressure and have taken it at various intervals throughout the day. It was lower at some points which is encouraging. I will not be taking meds for it if I can help it, I prefer to try and approach my health naturally wherever possible.

The weather this evening is wild - there are so many storms here, we have 50-60mph gusts ahead of us. I was grateful for the milder weather today.

This evening, I got some steps in for my paced walking fundraiser (see extras).

If you would like to support Alcohol Change UK in their efforts to reduce alcohol harm in the UK, here is the link:

I am at 25% of my fundraising target, I would appreciate all donations, I know it’s an expensive time of year for many but it’s a very important cause.

I’m undertaking it in memory of my Uncle Tommy and Uncle Robert who both died of alcohol related illnesses within less than a year of each other in 2001-2002.

I’ve added a favourite photo of my Uncle Robert in the extras. He was a very kind, calm, gentle man.

He lost his wife, my Aunt Alice, to a heart attack related to her alcoholism when they were both forty two, married at seventeen.

Today’s steps and the email I received from Alcohol Change UK last week thanking me for fundraising for them are in today’s extras :)

Thanks to all who have donated so far, it’s very much appreciated.
