Spaghetti junction

"And for those of you watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green."

That might've been Whispering Ted's most famous* quip, but in fact, the pink wire here really is next to the green, the blue is next to the yellow, and the red wire feeds all the brown wires.  I'm glad though that I have the colours to go by because this would have been next to impossible in the olden days.  I did a bit of unplugging and drilled two new holes for the extra switches, then accidentally yanked the main power wire and pulled it out of its crimped connector, so I had to mend that – but it's gradually getting there.  I still have to decide whether to splice in the new wiring by piggy-backing with the soldering iron, or just cutting off the relevant crimps and putting new ones on.  Some of these connections will have three or four wires, which to be honest is a lot.  I was actually on a bit of a roll and would have carried on, but I was getting too cold in the garage.
