Carols on the Green

I went to Bents with the Swim Girls…Margaret, Suzanne, Jenny, Anne-Marie and Louise…for a Christmas breakfast. We sat for just over a couple of hours having a good old chat. They bought me some fizz and a new hat from Wild Moose, which was so lovely. They’ve loved wild swimming and they are such a lovely group.

It was ‘Carols on the Green’ outside the church this afternoon. A brass band played and we sang. It was nice but….the band needed to up their speed. They played beautifully, but it needed oooomph. People just mumbled along. I would have told everyone to gather in, the band to give it ooomph and ‘to sing like no-one’s listening.’ I went on my own but Michelle joined me and we hit lots of bum notes but we sang and had fun.
