Freeeeeeeezing!

Margaret and I went up to Redbrook this morning. Oh boy, it was cold. The outside temp was 3° and the water felt about 5°. We were in for twenty minutes as we swam to the buoy and back. We had gloves on but my fingers were hurting by the time we got out. It was a tricky job getting dressed and we sat in the car with heat on and heated seats for a bit before driving into Delph for a well earned bacon barm and a pot of tea. It took a long time to get feeling back into fingers and toes but ‘wow’ our bodies felt so alive and zinging with energy.
