Saltburn Ice Trail
Travelled back home today on the train. All good, changed at Northallerton this time which was easy enough.
Got back at 4, just in time to see one of the remaining ice sculptures.
Saltburn was apparently so busy today, many of the events from last weekend (cancelled due to Storm Darragh) were moved to today, live ice sculpting, carol singers, craft market, farmers market, Saltburn Smugglers, character walkabout and loads of children’s events.
As you can probably just see in the background, this ice sculpture was just by the station so it was a quick blip on my way home. I did get a few shots face on but they looked pretty rubbish because of the back lighting as it was almost dark, and the consequent glare. See extra. I have to admit I’m not actually sure what this one is. There were others which were more obvious but not on my route home. Things like a post box, fairy tail castle, throne etc.
Quick unpack and get changed and now we’re off to a party tonight with Kev and Jean from over the road.
