Pterodactyl

One of the "attractions" at the museum yesterday was a lady running a dinosaur origami workshop. So Bean and Steve made an Iguanadon together, and the lady gave Bean a Pterodactyl! I must must must find the origami book and paper that Masae-san gave to Bean when we saw her last year. I think he may really take to it at the moment, the dinosaur origami has sparked his interest! Now he's asking Steve to make all sorts. Steve spent the afternoon watching youtube tutorials on how to make various things. We now have a second Iguanadon and a second Pterodactyl (this one has a moving beak, it's the one in the picture!), plus what looks like a fighter jet, and also an origami stealth fighter. Impressive! Bean wants daddy to "pleeease make the dragon daddy!" but the video tutorial is over half an hour long :-/

In other news I hurt my knee yesterday. Holding Bear and a couple of half-finished glasses of juice, I stepped off the bed and nearly collapsed as my knee tried to give way the wrong way under me. So it hurts. And I keep overstretching it :( Cruciate is not torn at least - Steve found a youtube (bless that site!!) clip showing a test for cruciate ligament damage and visibly winced (ok, recoiled!) watching it. Anyway the test isn't hard and he investigated my knee and we both agree the ligament isn't torn. I might have sprained it though. Off to the GP tomorrow anyway.
