"TRAINS AND BOATS AND PLANES"
Well as promised, it was Matthew's day, so we did what was expected and went down to Creech St Michael (a quiet village in the Taunton area), to stand on the bridge and get the thrill of high speed trains as they 'whoosh' under the bridge. As you can see from the photo, Matthew is never far from a book, bit like Linus and his blanket, except Matty needs his book and will panic if he's not reading at specific times. 12noon, 4pm and 6pm are critical times and I've seen him really upset if we dont adhere to this ritual.
However, we enjoyed an amazing well loaded, permanent weigh train, the longest I've ever seen and a Virgin Voyager travelling all the way from Plymouth up to Edinburgh. I can't imagine being on a train for around 12 hours, and the cost!!!
Phoebe enjoys watching the trains as well as you can see. Then onto the garden centre, but not coffee instead chose an Elderflower cordial because he was thirsty. (But I suspect it's because that's what I always have.) After checking out their books but nothing worth having, we sadly had to return him back for his Sunday lunch, but only after promising to collect him again for a 'holiday' in Stogumber.
Matthew seems to rely on this continual 4 weekly schedule because it gives him stability.
After arriving home, attending to the laundry (more shirts), drinking Pimms of course, (Mr Schorschi's advice), we watched the weather to see if we were going to be able to enjoy a bbq. Well you guessed it, the Heavens opened but we're British, we cooked under the porch, and still enjoyed our ritual burning.
Shortened F1 - Jenson faired slightly better and at least Lewis took the podium not Alonso or Vettel, so hooray.
And now it's time for the Monday blues setting in. Up early and hard slog for Mr A driving 122 miles and trying to get his Employer to see sense.
Thank you for visiting - I do appreciate your comments and sharing your day's as well. Sleep well, and stay healthy and whatever you're doing, smile.
