Yes, I did it! I threw pomegranate into my coleslaw!

It was good. A nice balance to the earthiness of the cabbage and the sweetness of the carrots. I opted out of the gloopy mayo version of coleslaw and did a vinaigrette, Asian style. 

Also delicious. 

I am very grateful for a positive end to my day. I had an appointment with the dentist for a check up this morning and got a puncture on the way. It was cold (by wimpish Brit standards) at about 1ºc and getting the car jacked up and the wheel off was unpleasant. 

So was having to buy a new tyre. I missed my appointment, but expect I will have to pay anyway since my cancellation call was about 5 minutes before I was due. 

Fortunately Junior lives a short drive from where all this action was taking place, so I was able to call him for help.  

Last time I had to sort out a puncture was on the road between Bodrum and the airport, so heat and local drivers were the hazards. That time a farmer stopped his tractor and helped me as I grappled with a strange rental car.
