Cumbria Here I Come

By marpaul

As I was driving back from Carlisle I saw that the tide was in and with no wind it was looking so beautiful.  So quickly put the groceries away and popped down to the estuary.  I was hoping that I might see an otter or seal but alas I didn't.  I did see lots of waders though and this flock of birds flying around just had to be blipped.  Not sure what they are.   Spotted something very odd in a tree, see extras!  Very very spooky.  A doll's head which has more than likely been washed up and somebody has put it in a tree.  I had to touch it, it looks so real.

Went for another walk at Anthorn tonight.  No sunset sadly but there were hundreds and hundreds of Lapwings.  They were also flying around in large groups, so good to watch them.  A bit too dark to get a decent shot, so must remember to go there in the day time.
