Eben's Christmas concert

I hadn't expected to be able to take photos at Eben's school concert this morning, in a local church.  As I arrived, it was fizzing with the excitement of the Year 3s and 4s, waiting to get started. But we were allowed to take photos and videos, with the promise that none identifying children would be circulated on social media. Fortunately I had the camera with me, as I'd planned to photograph a few local murals on the way home afterwards (however, fog and drizzle ruled that out).
Tissues at the ready, we were all delighted by the kids' lively singing and their readings from 'The night before Christmas'.   I was struck by the intentness of those videoing the proceedings on their phones, engrossed and attentive. For once the phones seemed like an asset rather than an intrusion.
