Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree

Not sure I can actually get to my guitarist do any rocking, but I have to admit that Mrs C has done a spectacular job on the tree this year. She’s spent most of the day decorating the house and that’s after we’d done a strenuous PT session in the gym this morning. Apparently, there is still a bit left to do, so I will no doubt see even more decorations when I get back from Panto rehearsal tonight.
Popped through to Barrow to see Stu after the gym. Just had time for a coffee and a chat. Regrettably, we have had to scrap our idea of doing a few tunes on Boxing Night (we were going to do 20 minutes in the break between the band’s two sets) because busy schedules mean we just cannot get together with the drummer to run through the numbers, and it would be too complicated to set up our backing tracks and play to those.
We will get Xmas, NewYear and Panto out of the way and then try and make some time to get together and work up a set or two that we can hopefully perform later in the year.
My contribution to the decorations will be putting the lights in the window tomorrow. I’d normally do lights outside as well, but might give it a miss this year as nobody else in the road has put any up.
Yet…
