‘Twas a cold and Frosty Morning
The photo says it all really. It was -3° as I crossed the Meadows this morning. For interest sake I noted that Stromness in Orkney was 8°. We in the east had slipped under the blanket of freezing fog that blighted Glasgow and most of the Central Belt yesterday.
I was on my way to the chiropodist to have her draw blood in an effort to dispose of a very small corn at the nail edge on my small toe. It has been attacked before but is persistent in recurring every so often. An hour later, bloody but unbowed, and I was back in my favourite easy chair in Söderberg warming up before I walking to see daughter#2 on her day off and hand in some fitted sheets she wanted.
And that is more or less that. I am holed up writing Christmas cards and worrying about what to give as gifts to everyone. There is a small game I ordered online almost a month ago which appears to being sent unbeknown to me from Idaho. Had I know that I would never ordered it . Apparently it’s now sitting in UK customs. Will it arrive in time for me to post it on? Who knows but just another worry.
Those of you with a delicate constitution need not look at the extra
