Determination is the Name of the Game
It took a lot of determination to make the long trip down to Porty on my own this morning, but I’m glad I persuaded myself to do it in the end. Basically the weather has been very disappointing lately. It’s either been very icy and cold or milder and wet- neither option being ideal. Today’s forecast of cloudy but dry at least until the afternoon seemed to be the best for several days.
Being on my own again, I decided when I looked at the waves it would be safer to dip with other people and so I met up with 3 other Bluetits at Groyne 5 instead of my preferred Groyne 4. It was a chilly dip but fun jumping the waves- no actual swimming took place and no handstands either but it was very enjoyable and invigorating.
An uneventful journey on 2 buses home to warm up and wash the sand out of everything. I’m glad I challenged myself- when it is so dull and chilly it’s difficult to get my mojo up and running.
